start off with an end number in mind, and then you do the math to make the end number sound kind of ok.

Of course if you do the math twice on the same topic but for different reasons, it helps to make sure the calculated results match up closely.

A real beginner fraudster mistake to have two end results.

Capone was done on tax evasion, because his bookkeeper didn't get it right.
