He got fired from Colorado DOJ for some rather egregious ethical violations. When he was DA, he helped to blow past the warrant limits when the local meat plant was raided, and saw to it that those arrested were bussed to Denver, whence many were summarily deported; right before the holidays, and many kids came home from school that day to find family members missing. He then got smacked by the state supreme court for raiding a tax prep business that caters to Spanish-speaking taxpayers; helped himself to those files and rifled through them looking for bad guys, actions determined to be unquestionably unconstitutional. Then there was the case where he refused to prosecute an admitted rapist because, in Buck's view, the woman was merely suffering from buyer's remorse. When he got to DC he got all pissy because he saw Obama with a group of brown-skinned young people and assumed that Obama was coddling immigrants from south of the border (they were actually students from a troubled indigenous reservation, but brown skin is brown skin). And he has opined that being gay is just like being alcoholic, it's just a matter of will power. More recently, while serving as the chair of the Colorado GOP, he got busted for attempting to suborn perjury from a precinct captain.
This is all just tip-of-the-Buck-iceberg. Can't help wishing that the media would do some background checking before giving unwarranted credibility to their "expert" commenters.
