This was some variety of domestic.

And 'good guy with ..' - generally refers to someone on the scene who is acting in response to a incident or attack - not the perpetrator.

When someone figures out how to just arm the good guys, then you can tell me about "good guys" with a gun. Until then, you're just arming bad guys and taking credit in advance for stopping a guy YOU armed in the first place.
