Palestinians accuse Israel of "crimes against humanity" in Gaza - BBC News

Thousands of Palestinians are fleeing south in the Gaza Strip ahead of an expected Israeli ground offensive. More than a million people have been warned to move south by Israel, as its forces mass on the border of the territory which is home to around two million people.

Israel is acting in response to the recent attacks on Israel by Hamas, a group designated as a terror organisation by many western governments. More than 1,300 people were killed in those attacks and Hamas seized more than 100 hostages.

Several days of airstrikes on Gaza are said to have left around 1,900 Palestinians dead, including 600 children.

Fuel, food and water supplies are running out in Gaza but Israel says it won't lift its blockade until Hamas frees all the hostages it seized in Israel.

The Palestinian ambassador to the United Nations appealed for it to prevent Israel carrying out a “crime against humanity” and said the evacuation order amounts to ethnic cleansing.

The UN Secretary General has warned all sides that there are rules of war and civilians must be protected.

Clive Myrie presents BBC News at Ten reporting by Jeremy Bowen and Jon Donnison.

1. Let's stop "disinformationing" ourselves. Every single war on Earth is a crime against humanity.

NO sides of ANY war are not complicit in crimes against humanity.

Attackers cause civilian death and are understood by the world.

Defenders make mistakes of civilian death and are condemned by the world.

Keeping score on "crimes against humanity" leaves ALL of humanity guilty guilty guilty.

Let's stop "disinformationing" ourselves.

I'm posting information as it's happening in real time.

I agree ancianita, every single war is a crime against humanity.

5. I know, Uncle Joe. You're not at all like that. Glad we agree about crimes against humanity.

But media always keep score to keep profits up through the horse race hype they sell.

We just have to stay aware of who benefits from their divisive score keeping.

humanity that needs to be saved because they cry "crimes against humanity" against those they attacked.

Media's war fog machine confounds the rest of humanity in times like these.

And will continue to do so. That was preordained.

Can't fault the media for reporting (as long as it is well sourced). But Israel is doing exactly what they told us they were going to do ...

In other news, war is a bad thing, and the OP always recommends his own threads

just as I would recommend any book, movie or restaurant etc. etc.

If one doesn't wish to keep up with what's happening in the world, there is all manner of escape to other issues or subjects.

and that's been a while, I don't recommend them.

Apparently that's not the case, or we wouldn't be able to do it.
