from the north, what will the US do? Israel does not have enough troops to fight both fronts. Americans will oppose sending troops to help.

Israel could ask for volunteers from various countries.

Meantime, I am also concerned about what this will do to US politics. Even if Trump is not the candidate, support for Palestinians in the US could mean that votes for Biden will be lost and we can't afford that.
