Long Time Lurker
Hey there.
I've been around DU as a reader since the early 2000's: I remember the "view from the other side" humor column and the Hate Mailbag (damn, that was some funny stuff!). I discovered DU via Bartcop.com (RIP, my friend!). It's only been recently that I registered and started posting however: I tend to shy away from public, political discussions because of the nature of my job. I'd hate for something I said to be traced back to me IRL and bite me in the ass (it's happened to someone I know personally).
