(16,974 posts)That way you no longer focus on the first hot pepper because all your attention is on the second hotter pepper.
You can keep doing this to infinity provided you can locate a hotter pepper on the Scoville Scale measuring the hotness of hot peppers.
See the Scoville Scale at link below, with pictures of various hot peppers and hot potency and country of source.

(160,331 posts)I ate a jalapeno in a restaurant, and I couldn't breathe.....it hurt so bad and I couldn't get a breath - an off-duty fireman was dining nearby and he came over, thumped my back to prompt a breath and got me some milk....NEVER AGAIN I said, NOPE

(8,387 posts)Mix in some grated cucumber and dill weed and you have my signature sneaky tzatziki. Throw in some cumin and grated carrot and you have all right its all raita.

(18,724 posts)Half 2nd Gen Greek-American here. 😄
But wait... no garlic?
Love it, though prefer without the dill.
Like raita, too. (Loooove Indian food)

(8,387 posts)Indian yogurt isn't strained the way Greek yogurt is, but it's interesting to make raita with Greek yogurt and tzatziki with Indian yogurt.

(18,724 posts)I can take a bit of jalepenos but I don't like the taste (vs the heat)
I can take a sprinkling of canyene which is a bit unusual bc it's so much stronger I like the taste.
And what ever the Chinese restaurant puts in for General Tai's chicken.
I just saw one on a Scoville chart (low heat) called "tangerine dream" how adorable. Small thinnish light orange color (natch)

(22,819 posts)or a good mouthful of rice.
We generally eat fire here in our house, I love hot food.
The Mexican food around here is not particularly spicy on its own, but the salsa that comes with the chips can be a bit on the wild side.
Jalapenos can vary widely in their heat levels.
Nice to see Rob make an appearance in the vote by the way
