Sure enough, came back into the house and there's a tornado watch until 900pm for upstate NY.
We've had one tornado locally this year, and now a watch.
Relatively unusual for my part of the world.
I can't wait for this heat and humidity to break.

(24,621 posts)I have already cut down 9 or 10.
I just went outside and a huge hemlock limb fell, luckily it fell away from the garage. I had to get the chain saw and cut it up into 4 or 5 pieces.
The black ants get into the white pine and kill them, but it was a hemlock branch that just fell.
Do not ever plant bug infested pine trees around your house.

(3,382 posts)Watch is still on until 9:00 pm. I guess there was a tornado spotted in Honoye, NY. Sun is coming back out.
Never remember there being as many tornado warnings as we've had the last few years. There was a tornado touchdown in 1972 close to where I live that tore through a trailer park. It was a remnant of Hurricane Agnes. Had been nothing since until the past couple of years.
