I don't know if I ever told this story here before.

I went to the bank once to get a loan.

The loan officer was an exceptionally beautiful woman. I had a nice conversation with her, and I truly believed that she was getting very flirty with me.

When I got home, I told my wife all about it.

She listened intently to my bullshit for about 5 minutes.

When I was done talking about how this beautiful woman was flirting with me, my wife said "Are you done"?

I said yes.

Then, she said "Your shirt is on inside out".

She was right.

I looked like a 4 year old who didn't know how to dress himself.

it would be funnier.

I looked like a total douche walking around like I was God's gift to women.

who often mis-buttoned her sweaters and blouses. She'd do that thing where you skip a button hole. We always joked that when we got really old (as we are now) we'd have to point out that it wasn't a sign of old age because she'd always done it.

In Brazil. We all traveled to a small coastal village, where the student had reserved a room at a small inn. There was a fenced courtyard where the owners served breakfast to all of their guests. My husband and I came out for breakfast after a late evening dancing in the street celebrating Carnival. It was amazingly fun. We were still happy about the night before and the whole world was rosy. Other people in the courtyard and the servers were flashing big smiles at us the whole time we ate. I thought how happy and outgoing people in Brazil were. We went back in our room to change to go out. I realized then that my shirt was on inside out and backwards. Lol
Thanks for reminding me of a fun time.

So, back in the day, I was a courier for a microfiche company that both made them and stored them. I was driving along the old belt loop around Raleigh, North Carolina. I had just stopped to grab some lunch and was eating a Wendy's double. As I approached the U.S.1 North exit, I noticed that we were being funneled into one lane for some kind of roadwork going on ahead. As we lined up, I noticed that the vehicles that were coming down the on ramp to get on the belt loop were having a tough time getting onto the loop. (Typical of drivers there. Everyone is doing something WAY more important than everyone else and therefore should not let anyone in.)

As I approached the outlet of the on ramp, I noticed that a British racing green Jaguar was pacing me. The driver was a very beautiful blonde business lady who was looking a bit worried that she was having to drive into this mess. I waited until we were almost to the lane opening (as well as being right beside each other), then I grandly gestured to the highway with my burger-gripping hand and nodded with a big smile. She smiled brilliantly back at me and, as we crept forward, she made sure to turn to wave and thank me for letting her in. I bowed my head slightly and gave a bit of a cocky salute with my burger. I then went to take a bite and the entire thing fell apart into my lap and all over my side of the cab. I mean, that burger went everywhere. It exploded.

She almost hit the car in front of her from laughing so much. I just lowered my head sheepishly and drove on to my next stop.

Figures.
