Two shots to get the party started.
Now a Golden Lillet Martini. Rum, Lillet, and limoncello, shaken with ice. Yum!
I love you all

(1,147 posts)1) who will Kamala choose as her VP?
2) when will the orange turd flush Vance?
Aristus
(68,189 posts)It will make Arizona easier to go for Kamala. And it puts a macho astronaut, gun-owning white guy on the ticket. I dont care about that sort of thing, but there are a lot of guys who do who might not otherwise vote Dem.
Trump cant change his VP pick. It will make him look weak. He IS weak, but it doesnt want to look it. Plus, Vance is everything his voter base wants. It wont increase that base, but theres nothing Trump can do about that. He cant, for example, take on Nikki Haley, because she will make him lose voters.

How was work this week?
It has a tang, like sour cream, but its a smoother tang, and a hint of sweetness.
Work was good this week. I had a brief run-in with one of the worst of the office politicians. But we didnt speak to each other. I think we have an understanding.

(2,685 posts)"Well you see, Norm, it's like this . . . A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the heard is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.
In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers."

(2,505 posts)How can I tell if my maidenhair fern has enough water? Some leaves are getting a little yellow around the edges, but then some at the very bottom of the plant are brown and dead.
How long will my strawberry and cream cheese spread be okay to eat from the fridge?
Will the guy come tomorrow and stain the deck even though it might rain? And what about the second coat?
Oh, I am thinking you were probably looking for more deep metaphysical questions. Ok, never mind. 😄

Call him and see if he works in the rain. Let the first coat dry before deciding if it needs a second.
Hope that helps.

(1,023 posts)that's silly. But now that I know you drank a Golden Lillet Martini I'm rethinking things. Rum always improves prognostication skills... Any thoughts on the World Series?

Gin martini? Stirred.
I generally like my cocktails shaken, unless they include club soda. I like the tiny little slivers of ice it creates in the drink.
