School in my class, as was Rene Auberjonois, a charming man with great talent and poise (his father was in the Diplomatic Corps). Barbara Bosson came a year after I left to go to NYU and she became known on either Hill Street Blues or NYPD Blue or both and married its director Steven Bochco. All of these are now deceased, except for Converse (and I believe his first wife). Joe Tawil, a talented lighting director was also in my class and he, too, is deceased. I did not like him at all as he had the worst potty mouth of any man I had known at that point in my life.

theme, I didn't like police shows or westerns except for the theme music of some of them. I know I'm strange.

If only because that show came on on Thursday nights, and I knew that the next day was Friday, the last day of school for the week.

Mission: Impossible & Hawaii 5-0. Super cool instrumentals that set the tone of the show.
The Perry Mason theme was pretty cool, but I was awfully young when that show was a hit.

Fish don't fry in the kitchen
Beans don't burn on the grill
Took a whole lotta tryin'
Just to get up that hill.

Great theme song!

115. My favorite theme song was from the TV show MAUDE
Tue Aug 27, 2024, 09:49 PM
Aug 27

Lady Godiva was a freedom rider
She didn't care if the whole world looked
Joan of Arc with the Lord to guide her
She was a sister who really cooked
Isadora was the first bra-burner
Ain't ya glad she showed up? (Oh yeah!)
And when the country was fallin' apart
Betsy Ross got it all sewed up

(CHORUS):
(And then there's Maude)
And then there's Maude
(And then there's Maude)
And then there's Maude
(And then there's Maude)
And then there's Maude
(And then there's.....)

That uncompromisin', enterprisin', anything but tranquilizin'
Right on Maude!

120. Big Valley and The Partridge Family Premiere Episode
Tue Aug 27, 2024, 10:23 PM

I loved Big Valley as a young kid. I think that's why I really love Burt Bacharach "big" song productions.

When I was 9, I discovered 16 magazine and The Partridge Family was going to premiere that fall. I fell in love with David Cassidy and the opening song which changed after the first episode. Yep, the teen magazine industry got me (and my friends) hook line and sinker. I pouted until my parents bought "I Think I Love You" then the full album. Heavens, where did the time go?

Star Trek TOS (The original Series)

Battlestar Galactica (I like both show's music)

Night Court

Home Improvement

Davis Rules (written by Mark Mothersbaugh of 'Devo')

The Incredible Hulk (The Lonely Man Theme)

Several of the Schoolhouse Rock series. 'Figure Eight' is one of the most beautiful tunes I have ever heard. And, who can forget 'Conjuction Junction'?
Or 'Hide And Seek Fives'?

I guess it's more than the song, it's the whole imagery which was compelling, along with the perfect song for it of course!

The original theme from Mission Impossible (not the movies)
The original theme from Hawaii Five-O (not the recent new series)
The theme from Peter Gunn
