It’s 83 now at 8:40 pm here in central Ohio. It was pretty darn hot today and I think we’re in for at least a couple more scorchers. The grass is crunchy and brown and we could use a good soaking rain. I can’t remember the last time it rained.

We had a good rain last night, about .7" But very hot and muggy today. July and August have been very dry.

I live in southwest NM and our usual annual rainfall is 12 inches a year but these past three we’ve averaged around 16. But at the same time we’re a bit warmer than normal. Climate change is definitely here.
