Maybe it's just me. Or maybe it's just JIF. But the lids on my PB jars now require just a quarter turn to close... but it takes a few tries and then I have to do it again because I'm not sure if the lid actually closed or not. I'm sure they're saving a lot of $$$ because of that change.
Also... the seals on bags of chips. Used to be about 1/2" wide... now they've narrowed it to about 1/8" and they easily tear.
Or maybe it's just me.

(8,095 posts)because I think it taste better. Maybe because it has a little more sugar? But I just went and tried the lid and your right it "catchs" with a little turn but then screws at least a full turn and definitely will not come off?
Just don't get in a hurry (it's hard because the PB is so good) and I think it will be alright. BTW - my favorite snack is a PB fold over on oat nut bread! ☮

(5,517 posts)As for chip bags, I always very carefully squeeze the bag to verify that it is sealed before I put it in the buggy. If it's not sealed when I get it out at home, I know it must have been the bagger at the store that caused it, and it goes back. The thin seal makes it easier to open it the way I prefer, by pulling apart in the middle of the top seal. Always open the top of the bag, or sooner or later, you'll pick up a bag and dump it because you opened the wrong end.

(9,380 posts)Theyve really messed up the threads on my bottle caps too. WTF? And my juice bottle lids are so tight I need my channel locks to remove them.
