Now that I finally have a bottle of creme de menthe, I'm trying a Jade.

White rum, Cointreau, créme de ménthe, lime juice, and some sugar.

Tasty. I like it. For a cocktail, it tastes a lot like a medium-dry Riesling with a touch of mint.

Was a bartender at a bar in Portland, Oregon. In the '50s, he made a cream de menthe milkshake using vanilla ice cream, creme de menthe and rum. My mother got his recipe and we would enjoy these while floating in the pool.
