I just found out James Burke is still alive.

He's 87!

He was the narrator of the TV shows "Connections," and "The Day The Universe Changed." (Among others)

I really love those shows, (I have the DVD's,) and it's good to see he's still alive.

That was an excellent series for this science geek! I had it on videotape, but have no video player now. You've motivated me now to find it on DVD! Thanks!

Except CLETE which I recently purchased. Savoring it. Based in 1989. Cletes the lead over Dave. I hope he’s still writing. His books are like 400 page poems filled with murder and mayhem.

I assume you are talking about James Lee Burke.

I believe his last show was on Prime.

I've watched the older shows and they absolutely stand the test of time.

played in Goodfellas (albeit with a name change, Jimmy Conway in the film; they also changed the surname of Joe Pesci's character away from the real life counterpart).

James Burke the gangster died almost 30 yrs ago.
