Tom Nichols, who lost his cat Carla in April, has a new kitten as of August 22

I wasn't sure whether to post this in GD or here. Tom's tweets and columns for the Atlantic are often posted in GD, but I'd posted some of his tweets about Carla here in the Lounge. On May 10, Nevilledog posted a thread in GD about what Tom wrote for Carla for the Atlantic

For a while he was torn between wanting to adopt again, but not being ready.

Anyway, it's very early on a Caturday, and I thought this would be a good time to tell you about Tom's new furbaby. And I agree with him that Carla had a paw in bringing them together.
