Never heard of fried breaded onions

It has more nutritional value than the others, as a fat-to-nutrient ratio. Fries are definitely out. I’ll eat my onions and zucchini RAW if I have to! Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.

Definitely a potato fan. Not much of a meat eater, especially chicken.

Coat dill slices with batter then fry. Google it.

Coconut oil or grass fed beef tallow.

Frying in beef tallow - everything especially delicious and good for you.

Never fry in seed oils - very toxic.

Of those listed, I would pick the chicken, mainly because I can remove the fried skin.

Mainly because my husband always cooks wonderful ones on his Blackstone when he makes hamburgers most Saturdays.

Can't stand the ones with heavy breading and a wisp of onion in the center.
The Artic Roadrunner drive-in in Anchorage Ak made the best onion rings I've ever had. Every time I order onion rings I measure them against that standard in my mind.

I don't allow myself to have them as much anymore. Has to be the right fires, too. My favorites are the little Mediterranean resturant. Perfect--crispy, but not too crispy and perfect blend of spices, and batter. Love them!

coated with a rich batter and then deep fried. If I remember, it was savory and sweetish? Good enough for a very picky six yr old girl to try.

If I had a second choice, it would be fried chicken.

But onion rings are very close, bc I love onions.

At my age docs orders have been NO FRIED FOODS in my diet EVER.

But with today's space age technology and my convection oven air fryer, I am now able to have French fries cooked oil-free and they taste as good, or better, than Wendy's (hand-cut with skin) fries imho.

I try to avoid fast food, but when I get a combo, I'll substitute onion rings for fries whenever possible.

Frozen French fries made at home tend to come out better than frozen onion rings though.

Those blooming onion things are great too when you eat out and really want to splurge.

With "fish" it has to be "chips" though.

Cornmeal battered fresh water white perch isn't bad either.

Not a fan of fried chicken, could take or leave the zucchini.
I'm good with fries, but if I have to pick one, it's rings all day.

Soak the chicken pieces in buttermilk for 12 hours. Mix salt, pepper, MSG, garlic powder, and a little cayenne into the flour and coat chicken pieces with this flour. I then use a 50/50 mix of bacon grease and lard to fry it. Completely unhealthy but oh so tasty!

Second choice probably french fries.
