Spent 9 hours in the ER today...

And got a large dose of IV Fentanyl. I was sitting on the edge of the bed when she shot the Fentanyl into the IV and she told me to lay down. I said "I'll sit, it will be alright".

When the drug hit me, I tipped over onto the bed as I sang this song to the nurse. She got a laugh.

I think I spelled those right.

I've had symptoms for about a week, and I was in tears this morning, so I decided to go.

Glad I did.

Got the Fentanyl, then after the diagnosis was confirmed via CT scan, got IV Tylenol since opiates slow down the bowels and that is not preferable.

my last colonoscopy.

No idea why.

Had some bladder thickening as well, but that is most likely due to inflammation from the prostate infection. I am going to follow up with both GI doc and urologist.

check ups . . It was the PSA which was very high that showed it. by the way Rich has only 6 more days of radiation left.

I think he'll be ok Deb.

I see a urologist every 6 months, and my PSA is very low.

It's my bladder that I'm a little concerned about, but I hope it's just from the prostate inflammation.

Eating fruit and keeping hydrated? Staying away from cheese? ( my personal bete noire...I MEAN IT'S CHEEESE! A GIFT FROM THE GOD!!!!) I have to watch out for all these things bc I tend to end up in the hospital. UGH!
Following up w/the docs is good because it can easily end up being a drug interaction issue. My husband has been dealing with that recently. Hugs and Vibes!

Hope you’re okay.

Check in when you can.

Don’t like the fentanyl too much. It’s bad shit.

Stick to cannabis.

One of the nurses, i think she was Jamaican, asked my date of birth before she gave me something, and said "Jesus, you don't look your age".

I said "I love you".

The ER staff had to put up with LC for 9 hours???

Allow me to rephrase that! The ER staff had the privilege of enjoying LC's company for 9 hours???

Sincerely, I hope your "itis-es" are all managed and quit bothering you soon, Lucky! Take good care.

Told them upon check in that I had severe abdominal pain, and got a room IMMEDIATELY.

I think that is one of those symptoms where they don't fuck around and make you wait.

Now, I have been so many times that I can set up my own IV.

(I would not do that. I could, but I would not.)

I hope you are recovering well!
