I just saw a centipede run across my carpet. I'm freaking out. I can't step on it because I think it could take me.

(62,051 posts)... of some of the tropical diseases, mosquitos are 'eliminated on first zzzzzzzz.
I have no problem with spiders, my working theory is: if you got 'em you need them. However, my wife feels quite different, so I thin the herd every one in a while relocate them on the plants in on the deck. I feed the birds and I believe a lot of them get picked off by the house wrens. i rationalize it, Circle of Life and all of that.

(106,340 posts)As to the other bugs coming inside, I take comfort in that my spiders will have something to eat. (Only a harmless few wolf spiders that eat the others; we have a pact. They stay in the basement, don't reproduce, and we can coexist)...
Sorry, we mostly get sugar ants but that season seems to have passed.
