2. Congrats. There's been a few times in my life where I was second guessing myself quitting.

But that’s just fear of the unknown. I’ve never ended up regretting it in the long run.

should have quit and have always regretted it. I’ve learned, finally, to recognize when it’s never going to get better and bail.

I slipped my SI joint several years ago.
Spasms so bad it buckled my knees.
Went to doctor. He did no x-rays, just a quick physical exam.
Saud he knew exactly what it was. He said it happened to him in residency.
Prescribed my 5 days of muscle relaxers & anti-inflammatory.
Said in 2 or 3 days, I'd feel something pop in my back and it would be like nothing ever happened.
Nearly exactly 48 hours later, I felt that pop; he was spot on. Like it never happened.
Happened one more time since. Same outcome, different doctor!
I'm with you on the wonder of those muscle relaxers!

last time this happened. I think it’s an accumulation of stress and lack of exercise. The stress ended Monday and I’ll be at the gym as soon as I’m able.

Very fortunately, I never had a job like that.
If I had though, with my education & background I could have gone anywhere.
Maybe they knew that, and that's why they treated me respectfully. Doesn't matter. I've been retired 6 years.

I’m enjoying an inter-employment period right now. So far, most time I’ve had off in twelve years.

Hope your pain resolves and you can just enjoy chilling out for a while.

messes staff made because they refused to follow the guidance I was being paid to give them. I gave it a year and decided to admit defeat. The position had been empty for 4 years before I took it because the situation was well known locally. But hell, I gave it my best shot, learned a lot, and left on good terms with most everyone. I’m going to call it a win. Inter-employment, I like it!
