What are your favorite hurricane/blizzard snacks?

Just bought Hurricane snacks in anticipation of Milton hitting Florida (I’m in Broward and not expecting to get the worst). My sister is here from Asheville where she has no power or running water.
Invited our other sister from Tampa (who is expected to get a direct hit).
Bought: 2-for-one family packs of Ritz crackers
Peanut butter crackers
Party bags of chips - Doritos, Lays, Fritos
Apples
Dried fruit
Bread, some Turkey slices
Water (of course)

What do you buy when you’re expecting a big storm?

Bread and milk always get cleared out around here, so you sort of have to join in on the madness. Shermann Oct 6 #2

I make a big pot of split pea soup and make a batch of dill bread to go along with it. I've been doing that since college. So cozy when it's snowing and the wind is howling.

If the power goes out, I'll put the milk on ice and have Count Chocula for dinner. With untoasted toast (aka bread).

We were not prepared, honestly. Peanut butter and crackers, peanut butter and apples, whatever junk I could find. The only restaurant nearby that had power was a Wendy’s and they ran out of food. Thankfully had just stocked up on cat food so the furry overlords ate well.
