(5,323 posts)The others are much better.
I eat chocolate, sure, but I'm not a big fan. If I never had chocolate again in my life, I doubt I would really miss it.
Yeah, I know, to some that is SACRILEGE!

(29,905 posts)someone once gave me an oatmeal cookie... they put crushed walnuts in it... result was quick trip to the ER... and now I carry an Epi pen.
And yes I asked if they baked it with nuts in it. They said "no"...

I think the peanut butter cookie is the one I choose if you said I could only keep one. Especially with the little toffee bits on top! Yum!

(26,465 posts)It's a recipe from a 1930something cookbook that belonged to my mother. Because it's so old, the amount of sugar is significantly less than in a modern recipe. And they come out of the oven an exquisite combination of crispy and chewy.

(26,465 posts)For me, as soon as my cookies have cooled down to room temperature they may as well be stale.

(35,583 posts)I really like oatmeal cookies, but the raisins, blecch. I've never been fond of raisins and only really like them in Raisin Bran for some reason.

(17,343 posts)Laffing out loud here!
When I was playing in our park as a kid most times my Mom would raise her arm when I was near by, wave her hand w a little box of Sunmaid's Raisins in it.
Blargh!
I didn't dislike them soooo much that I'd gag on them (unlike licorice first and only time I ever had a black jelly bean 😄😬Gak!), but I really disliked them!
I can eat them a bit now like raisin bran, or little pumpernickel rolls with raisins, and walnuts. And Ukrainian Easter bread. That's it.

(296 posts)Anytime they are in something and get re-hydrated , they are just disgusting. Cant do it! 😏

(17,343 posts)I don't think I'd ever had a sugar cookie with frosting.
Love the PB Cookies.
Chocolate chip near addict as long as the chips are at least semi sweet. Prefer bittersweet. 😍🍪😍

(21,618 posts)i got a great sugar cookie recipe of course, when i crushed peanuts + added it to the sugar cookie recipe, they were the best peanut cookies. i also put coffee grounds, coconut + such in that recipe. i let my aunt make the choc chip cookies.
then there's the shortbreads...

(4,806 posts)Well, I suppose you can let them harden and then use them as poker chips, or maybe to shore up an uneven table leg.
It was my birthday and I was seven, and as I was leaving for school my Mom told me she was making snickerdoodles for the occasion. She had never made them for me before so I was unfamiliar with that cookie. But, I was (a newly minted) seven, so when she said 'snickerdoodle' I of course thought that they were made with chocolate, peanuts, caramel and nougat. In other words, a Snickers. It seemed a miracle that such a cookie would exist. Imagine my disappointment when I arrived home only to find a god damn sugar cookie.
I've never touched them since. Miss you Mom, despite the sugar cookie incident.
