I received a text alert today from the Palm Beach County (FL) Board of Elections - "Your Vote-by-Mail ballot for the 2024 General Election has been accepted and will be counted on Election Day. Thank you for voting!"
I'm impressed with the ease of voting from overseas. It's the first time I've done it and have to admit I wasn't confident it would go smoothly. After registering for the Vote-by-Mail Ballot, I eventually received an email with a URL and password to download the ballot and instructions. I printed it, filled it out, and sent it PRIORITY ($12) through the Thailand Post Office on Oct 10th. A weight of concern has just evaporated. I hope it's this easy in all the states/counties.

(3,823 posts)ballot has been picked up and is en route. 2 The office of the Supervisor of Elections has received your ballot. 2. Your ballot has been counted.
I wondered about the difference between "ballot has been counted" and "ballot will be counted on election day".
Google showed me this: "...in Florida, the law allows counties to begin processing vote-by-mail
ballots twenty-two days before Election Day. Results, however, cannot be divulged until after
the polls close on Election Day."
