three free kittens that my neighbor saw fit to have the mother cat give birth to under my riding lawn mower. They're going to need to be enticed from their hiding place and no, I am not going to start the tractor to scare them out.
Hurry at this price they won't last long.

(16,571 posts)and I don't want cats killing the birds or squirrels that make up part of my back yard.
what's a good way to give them back to the neighbor? Tuna in a can on the neighbors front porch perhaps?
Neighbor isn't answering the door at present.

(16,571 posts)is to lure them out with some food into a gro-bag, close the top and take the bag to the neighbor. If they aren't home or are ignoring my knocking I'll just leave the entire kittens and kaboodles there.
I despise people that allow unregulated animal propogation.

(2,451 posts)1) Newborn kittens don't eat tuna,
2) Mother Cats CHOOSE where to have their babies, do have say... proof of
your neighbors engineering this location for the mom??
3) Maybe a more conciliatory approach would be, to wait til your neighbor is home
and discuss this calmly with them.

(16,571 posts)If you look upthread you will see that I am trying that approach. Meanwhile there are 4 kittens (not cuddly newborns) living under my lawncare equipment.
The neighbor apparently doesn't give a cats ass when it comes to having them fixed. There are multiple members of his cat family running around the neighborhood most days.
I also need a plan to deal with that.

(2,451 posts)So you didn't notice them for weeks....btw I always read the full thread.
I submit that putting them in a bag on your neighbor's
doorstep won't improve relations between you...
To actually help with your problem, I suggest you do some research on which vet clinics run
neutering clinics and, if you can't get help from your neighbor, trap and have them fixed yourself.
Truly a dialog needs to be opened between you and your neighbor. Jus' Sayin'.
Have a nice day!
