What are you celebrating with on Tuesday

or when they call the winner?

I have decided to stop being so afraid and I bought a bottle today of pink champagne from France. Woman in line next to me said good idea she is getting some at her next visit.

This is our first woman president and I am going to celebrate it.

I think we are all gun shy after what happened with Hillary but I feel this time is different, she has gone over and over to all the swing states, she has many republicans voting for her, both moderates and progressives have unified, so I feel the time is right.

So what are you celebrating with??

Will probably live with it the rest of our lives!

I feel different, too, Tree Lady. Feels like Obama 2008, but even more!

like I did when Obama won. That's the last time I bought pink champagne. It was my turn to host bookclub night after the election and I had pink champagne and chocolate fondue for the ladies. Actually it was my LOL (Liberal ladies of leavenworth) group. If you lived closer I would have invited you.

It will be my husband, our cat (the real Lulu), and I in bed with my laptop, because by the time they start calling states we'll be safely tucked in, staring at my laptop for as long as our eyes stay open. (We're in the Eastern time zone.)

We'll have to keep the volume down so the dog doesn't hear that we're having fun without her. She and the cat have an upstairs/downstairs arrangement.

Mimosas in the morning!

Over here in Oregon they can call it by bedtime unless its close. I remember how shocked we were at how fast they called Obama's win. A bunch of us volunteers took over a bar and were just settling in when they called it.

I spent 2020 in bed with my laptop. In fetal position.

2016 I don't even want to remember. Total meltdown.

Harris's election will make 2024 worth drinking to.
