1. Dear Abby by John Prine

Dec 2024

Dear Abby, dear Abby
My feet are too long
My hair's falling out and my rights are all wrong
My friends they all tell me that I've no friends at all
Won't you write me a letter, won't you give me a call
Signed bewildered
Bewildered, bewildered
You have no complaint
You are what your are and you ain't what you ain't
So listen up buster, and listen up good
Stop wishing for bad luck and knocking on wood
Dear Abby, dear Abby
My fountain pen leaks
My wife hollers at me and my kids are all freaks
Every side I get up on is the wrong side of bed
If it weren't so expensive I'd wish I were dead
Signed unhappy
Unhappy, unhappy
You have no complaint
You are what your are and you ain't what you ain't
So listen up buster, and listen up good
Stop wishing for bad luck and knocking on wood
Dear Abby, dear Abby
Dear Abby, dear Abby
Dear Abby, dear Abby
You won't believe this
But my stomach makes noises whenever I kiss
My girlfriend tells me it's all in my head
But my stomach tells me to write you instead
Signed noise-maker
Noise-maker, noise-maker
You have no complaint
You are what your are and you ain't what you ain't
So listen up buster, and listen up good
Stop wishing for bad luck and knocking on wood
Dear Abby, dear Abby
Well I never thought
That me and my girlfriend would ever get caught
We were sitting in the back seat just shooting the breeze
With her hair up in curlers and her pants to her knees
Signed just married
Just married just married
You have no complaint
You are what your are and you ain't what you ain't
So listen up buster, and listen up good
Stop wishing for bad luck and knocking on wood
Signed dear Abby

if you did something that you are proud of, and that made you happy, then I'm proud of you too, and I'm happy for you.

creature at their easily replaceable job.
And they constantly pick apart anyone who they think are not; both to their face and behind their backs.
I try my best to not lose my cool around them.
And I capitalize the word ignore constantly and repeatedly when I am around them.
to FirstLight : I am sorry this happened to you. It happens often in my real life.

this is not my thread and I don't take internet posters all that seriously unless I have a good reason too.

We have some single issue members that come on a little strong. I hope it doesn’t dampen your excitement too much. I’m no fan of AI, but I’m a fan of creation. If it helps you create something unique to you or gives you comfort or bliss, I’m all for it.

7. I use ChatGPT all the time. I just wrote a chapter where a character used healing crystals. AI gave me the information

I needed, as I don't know anything about it. Same chapter, different character went to see a musical. AI helped me pick the most suitable play and a summary of the play and themes. I could give a hundred examples. I use it all the time! I also wrote some children's books. I asked AI to assess them. It gave me some great insights, most of which I didn't act on, but a couple of things were very useful. It also highlighted a few sentences that I simplified to be more age appropriate. It's like having a research partner and another pair of eyes on your work.

I'm sorry that these people decided to be rude. You keep writing, keep being excited about new adventures.
