So, maybe, Fighting Irish, I just jinxed them--or by some unexpected intervention, Ohio State would not survive the Texas v Ohio State cataclysm tonight...

That said, if it does come to pass, current odds have Ohio State a 9.5 point favorite against ND.

Their game with Texas just started.

In Ohio we try not to jinx the game beforehand.
We are a tiny bit superstitious about the Bucks.

PS. Final will be a gd big game as far as O-H-I-O is concerned.

And we are a big OSU family. Lots of degrees from there.

PS OSU fans are a lot nicer than other schools who shall remain nameless.

Yes the school up north state.

And another neighboring state, Ohio State fans don't even want to go when OSU plays there.
The fans are so bad to Buckeye fans.

It's obvious to me which fanbase is nicer and friendlier (And it ain't Ohio State). Here's an example of that wonderful Ohio State fan behavior:

https://fightingirishwire.usatoday.com/gallery/college-football-ohio-state-fans-notre-dame-northwestern-big-ten/

Mr. Starkman, who is 56, said complaints about fans urinating on lawns and bushes after games are exaggerated and happen only when Northwestern hosts Ohio State.

Wisconsin fans party very hard but are “nice and respectful,” he said; Michigan State fans are “brilliant, lots of doctors and judges”; Michigan supporters are “ruffians” but generally well behaved; Iowa’s are the friendliest in the Big Ten, and Nebraska’s fans are the most likely to arrive in pickups.

“Ohio State fans are the only problem,” Mr. Starkman said. “They have a monster following, and they think the world is their bathroom.”

Good luck! And that took a lot, coming from me, lol.

Thanks for your good wishes. The game with Texas may be a dog fight and hard won.

Of course I use THE Ohio State on a regular basis.
You have to swear to do so before they hand you your PhD.
(Kind of kidding.)

When I was in my first intro class in the PhD program, we had to write a career goal paper.
I was shocked when I got the paper back and I was given an A but it was crossed out and instead I got a B-.
And an arrow pointed to Ohio State University which I had typed without THE in front of it.
Which is why I got the lowered grade.

I went up and argued with the professor who would not budge. It still makes me mad!
Only B I got in grad school.

I quickly realized I was in a strange new world. I knew nothing about football.
I figured I better adapt or perish, so learned the rules of my new environment.
Kind of like TOS for OSU.

BTW this professor went on to reach a very high level in her career and I would read about her
in the news and SMH and laugh. But glad for her success.

That Block M is kryptonite to him, and THE Ohio State fans won't stand for it much longer. The AD seemed to have faith in him, but people lie, so who knows? Just leave Urban Meyer alone. He's one of the worst people on earth, lol.
