I Just Got A Text From The IRS - Yeah Right

I got a text that says I may be eligible to receive $1,400.00

That's as far as I got before I deleted it.

I got another text 3 months ago about an undeliverable package is held up, all I have to do is pay 3 cents with my credit card for additional postage. That one even had an official post office seal on it.

I'm 77, so yeah I'm old, and just because I look stupid....

Almost any text that you’re not expecting is a scam
I just got an email that got through my spam filter for my-seniordiscounts which is another current scam.
It’s getting to where I don’t open or respond to anything that I don’t have a name in my contacts for.
Beware those phone calls which don’t appear to speak to you. Some of them are collecting your voice print to use with the voice recognition system at your bank.
I always answer those with a different accent from my own using a language and regional patois that the VR is highly unlikely to understand.
