Yep, good service
Continuing saga: At the end of last year (2024), people in my family decided to refresh their space, and got some new easy chairs and other items from a local store. They loaded the smaller items into their vehicle and brought them home. They made arrangements for a sofa to be delivered using a company the furniture store used. The sofa was supposed to be delivered a few days later. My family got the old furniture out, cleaned the room, set up the new pieces, made arrangements for the old furniture to be donated and waited. On the day the sofa was supposed to be delivered, my family waited and waited, had a 12 hour delivery window. An hour before the window was up, the delivery company changed the delivery date to 10 days later. The day before the 2nd delivery, the delivery company changed the date again. My family decided that they weren't going to rely on the delivery company and after fruitless efforts to make the delivery company honor the seond delivery date, they made arrangements with the furniture store to pick up the sofa on their own. They rented a van and finally got their sofa home over a week ago. They canceled the delivery, by speaking to the delivery management and the furniture store management. Well, my family canceled the delivery arrangements, but I guess someone on the other end of the deal didn't get the message. The delivery company is bringing a couch this morning. I'll let you know how this plays out. I just can't believe how messed up this got!
UPDATE: They have 2 identical couches. Seems the furniture company wrote off the one delivery company had for 3 weeks. Maybe they can send it to shady
UPDATE 2: They're giving it to me
I had planned to get some new furniture, carpet and paint, but deferred the plans to help my friend. Guess updating is on front of the stove
