Looking forward to the SNL50 festivities this weekend.

Tonight there’s a BIG concert with many of the musical guests who’ve performed over the years and tomorrow the first one followed by anniversary show. I don’t know about all y’all but it really has been part of my life. Andy Kaufman, The Blues Brothers, Michael O’Donoughue, the incredible Gilda, Jack Handy, the Hanukah song, James Brown’s Hot Tub, Debbie Downer, the Loud Family, Bill Murray in everything, a van down by the river, Elvis Costello and Sinead O’Connor disobeying, both 47 and fElon hosting, Kate McKinnon making me cry singing Hallelujah as Hillary, so much. I know people complain about it. They always have. But love or hate from week to week, it’s important. For fifty years!

that there are many repeats. With the weather we are having I am outside taking care of horses much more than usual and the evening settle takes much longer when it is cold and they are spunky.

I remember the moment my boyfriend and I sat down and were puzzled and very amused by SNL. We were already stuck on Saturday nights with, I cannot remember the line up but it was the best night...Monty Python was on then I think, been too long for me to remember. After SNL it was out to the jazz club. I used to have a pretty fun life!!

We still had Vern Miller around then so we had to be careful! **Ass that stopped drinking in Airplanes flying over Kansas and who stopped anyone that looked like a hippie and frisked us multiple times and just made life like a bad Gunsmoke rerun. You should have heard all the flushing when someone started the call lines when he came on campus. While we are thinking of the past.....

John, Chevy, Gilda, and Bill had already been working together with MO’D there before SNL.
