meow, my cat thinks I'm talking to him and he often comes running to see what is up. He almost always starts responding to "me". I don't want to dissuade him.

The Andy Griffith Show.
The commercial featured Deputy Barney calling out to Thelma Lou..his girlfriend.

When our dog Thelma Lou heard him call out the name she walked right over to the television.
She just stood there waiting for the next..whatever.
We were laughing so hard it broke away her attention.

Sweet girl is missed so very much.
