(6,681 posts)It's this Saturday at noon ET on ESPNU, for those unaware. Fortunately, the two schools I really want to watch don't play until later in the day.
The doc Harvard Beats Yale 29-29 was my introduction to the rivalry, and it's a good watch for anyone interested in its history.

(68,499 posts)Malia Obama was on the Harvard side. Alas, we didn't see either of them but saw pics of Paul that somebody took. He was all alone, nobody was rushing him for an autograph.
I found out later that the Yale Bowl cannot have U.S. Presidents there because they cannot be adequately protected. In case you were wondering...

(77,306 posts)...it has nothing to do with either school.
I don't watch any college football. I just don't find it to be an interesting sport.

(68,499 posts)A tradition! these are students from Yale Music School who perform at half time in a comic routine of confusion, marching the wrong way and playing off key. It is a spoof on All those Big 10 bands that play at half time with their well rehearsed (and wonderful) performances. I think that's a little disrespectful of those bands who really are good, but that's Yalie silliness.
