Enjoying a Jupiter cocktail tonight.

Gin, dry vermouth, Parfait Amour, and orange juice. I don’t have Parfait Amour, so I substituted Aperol. Yummy!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

upscale family activity center. Calling it a bowling alley would give you entirely the wrong impression. It had a very nice restaurant and a sophisticated bar.

We all got drinks, and then got down to bowling. I thought I was going to be a very poor bowler, because I hadn’t done it in years. I ended up with the third-highest score out of seventeen players.

My drink was a Pecan Pie Old Fashioned. Delicious! Sweet, smooth, and garnished with a wedge of candied bacon.

Great party!

Earlier in the day I went to my neighborhood liquor store - in Oregon you can’t buy it at a grocery store - to replenish my supply of bourbon and vodka. When I got home I became curious about why the name on the vodka bottle label was Stoli instead of Stolichnaya and looked it up. It turns out the name was changed in support of Ukraine after the Russian invasion. It is, however, made in Latvia. All of that aside, nazdarovia mon ami!
