Golden Retriever, Labrador, etc. Anyone been to a humane society lately? You might see one of these, but that is certainly not the usual population. The other things pointed out, I didn't really pick up on, but I certainly will now.

Those are all purebred dogs. Some will cost 3 to 4 thousand dollars each. I never noticed the other clues either.

Many adoption sites that list dogs as a certain breed show pics that in no way resemble that breed. Even though they're all still cute and deserving a good home.
