I believe you'd end up paying approximately 37% in federal taxes.

and the clerk asked me, "only one?" and I thought about it and said, "that's funny" because I was thinking that it really wouldn't increase my odds enough to make a difference. Am I wrong about that? Does having two tickets actually double your odds or do you just have two chances, each with a zillion to one odds?

Golden Nugget casino gave away a brand new Jeep last month. Every time you visited the casino over a three month period, the cashier would give you a ticket to put in the drawing. I know two sisters who worked next door to the casino. They would stop after work and see the cashier for their daily tickets. Turned out the gal who won the Jeep, only had one ticket in the drawing.

Beautiful sentiment, Emile. l also have a mental list of causes I would donate money to. A few weeks ago, my husband was buying a few tickets, and the elderly man standing beside him said "You know, if I ever win, I'll walk up and down Main Street and give $1,000 to everyone I see". That has stayed with me - such kindness and benevolence,

I hope when someone finally does win, they will have the caring spirit of you and this local gentleman.

Good luck, friend
