Has anyone else watched the Blacklist series?

James Spader is great. But...

We find the gore aspects not to our liking. Pens stabbed into people; metal pieces stuck in legs, other brutal stabbings etc.

We have only watched two episodes. Does this type of gore continue throughout the ten series?
