I saw her in "Labyrinth" in 1986 when I was seventeen, and just went nuts for her. "Labyrinth" was the last movie I saw before going off to Basic Training in the Army. And every night before falling asleep in my bunk after a brutal, stressful day of training, that image of her at the beginning of the film, the "give me the child" scene, was the last thing that went through my mind.

The crush didn't last. She has gone on to Oscar-winning acclaim in her career. But my admiring eye moved over to mature women, where it has stayed since. Meryl Streep, Annette Bening, Judy Dench, Helen Mirren, and so on.

I like everything about him.❤️

.Deb, my husband liked Jim Morrison.
When we visited Paris, he made sure we visited his grave, where he is buried at the Père Lachaise Cemetery.
(Little disappointed, as he tombstone was wedged in a corner, almost behind another tombstone)

I was completely crazy for her.

In addition, dug Cynthia from Sly and the Family Stone. I just thought she was so cool. I had a magazine page head shot of her in my room, her Afro hair fully poofed out, along with pictures of other rock stars. My dad tore down the picture of Cynthia because he thought it was Angela Davis.

Although I couldn't have cared less about his singing career (but, he could sing), I was rather smitten by Shaun Cassidy.

Also his brother, but I was more into blondes back then.

Also Leif Garrett. I loved watching him in things. But, again, did not care for his music.

(Growing up gay in the south was such a bitch at times, but so was I... at times... LOL!)

Watching him dance was enthralling and his nostrils flared a bit when his heart-rate went up--the only sign of strain. I was enamored. What a handsome man from the top of his head to the tip of his toes. He was a prince.

When I was 3, I wanted to marry Mighty Mouse - what a hunk!

As I got older - Ricky Nelson, Michael Landon, Paul McCartney, Mark Lindsay and others - and yes of course... Jim Morrison.

When my younger son was in high school, we got our first home computer. He always put the WWF wrestlers as the desktop image - as soon as he'd leave for school I'd switch it to an astronomy picture - Moon, Galaxies etc.

The photo we both finally agreed on was that classic close-up of Jim Morrison - I think most everyone knows which one I mean. Fast forward many decades... that same son and his wife made a trip to the Rock'N'Roll Hall of Fame - and sent me a ceramic coaster of Morrison in that memorable close-up. After all these years, he remembered.

BTW Jim's looking at me right now, Deb - he says hi.
