Next to the atm at a bank, there were two a woman picked the black one with white feet and I took a little tortoise shell female. She was my first cat I had an apartment in HI and was in the Army.
I kept her and when I got out of the service we went to the Catskills. She was only 8 pounds but did not take crap from any other cat or dog. All my cats since have been rescues, and all have been a pleasure to have as companions.

they just....."happen" into my life (yeah, I know they targeted me)

I did not even particularly like cats but she taught me how affectionate and a joy to be around they are.
