Not only was I *not* taught how to skip, but my Kindergarten teacher used this "criteria" as justification for insisting that I repeat Kindergarten and not be forwarded to first grade.

My parents had to take me to a juvenile psychiatrist for an IQ test in order to override my teacher's "recommendation". (I tested above-average.)

That’s terrible. I assume that was in the 60s when, for me anyway, teachers were great at shaming children. I’m sorry this happened to you.

I think, frankly that most in the video have very inflexible (or painful) hips so they just don't get the motion of skipping. I think there was one in the video who mostly did, but...

I have a bad ankle so I would not be all that willing, either...
