(42,281 posts)Illinois played UCONN in November or December and lost by 13, but it was close most of the way. But, Illinois is a lot better now than they were then. It's really hard to beat a very good team twice.
This UCONN win helps Illinois chances to win the tournament.

(102,768 posts)Last year I was watching almost every game of Div2 Billings team and they did that twice with double overtime twice in one tournament. I was close with the family of one of the players so I saw a lot of basketball last year. Missed all of it this year.
That's a major effort to pull off, it makes a game really exciting at the end.

(997 posts)Duke had no reason to be passing the ball in that situation. Had they simply held the ball and allowed UConn to foul them, they're probably in the final four right now. They made an ill-advised pass which was knocked away by the Huskies. It was an unforced turnover. Yes, Mullins made an unbelievable shot, but he shouldn't have been allowed to get the ball.
