I believe in supporting local businesses, but not at twice the price! Need a new cartridge puller for some plumbing work

so I went to my local hardware/plumbing supply store. The tool I wanted was $80.00; four times what I paid for the last one I bought. Checked on Amazon and found it for $40.00. Exactly the same puller from the same manufacturer. It’ll be delivered tomorrow at no additional cost!

The manager always alters his price to be closer to Amazons. Can’t usually match but tries. Appreciates the opportunity. I bite the bullet and buy local. Kinda win win.

buying at the best price. It works for me, especially during times of unconscionable inflation.
You can go directly to the Chinese and skip the middle man at Ali Express, but you have to be careful of bait and switch.

It's wiped them out. Even at local yard sales, you see tag descriptions such as: "Sold on eBay for $xx.00"

I used to buy local produce, to support the local farms, and because it was supposed to be cheaper, but when the local produce, which isn't organic, is 2 or 3 times the cost of produce shipped in from California or Mexico, I'm going to buy at the grocery store.
