(I realize Japanese art doesn't necessarily fit into Western 'schools' of art, but I'm using terms in a more general sense than that. Note no capital I in impressionistic !)

waves. We had a cottage and it overlooked the moon that made a light pathway to our cottage across the lake. Good times.

I spent 2 years in Japan, in the Air Force nurse corps, in 1978-79. I love woodblock prints, and have several hanging in my house, and I treasure each one.

I wish I had a print of this one.

older brother lived in Kyoto for 30 years. I appreciate Japanese culture much more now that he passed away. Like my eyes and ears are open to anything Japanese. His partner there is lovely. I miss him.
