We dont want to keep you in suspense, so well tell it to you straight: The word "dhimmitude" is not in the health care law.
We know this because of our previous reporting on the law, and also because we did a full-text search on both the main law (the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act) and a companion law (the Health Care and Reconciliation Act). Its not in either one.

(18,219 posts)so I did some googling to see what was out there. Holy shit, I am so glad to be back on DU. I went to some really strange sites to see what was being said. I can't even repeat it. And I thought that I was proficient at stringing together a long sentence of derogatory comments! I am an amateur.
Take my advise. Don't go looking at some of these wingnut sites. My favorite was a Christian site that was so hateful I cringed. Oy.
I was surprised to find that this came out prior to the re-election of Obama, because there were dire warnings of what would happen if he were re-elected. I also found that they have an explanation for why no one can find it in the ACA bill as passed. You see, Obama put it in there, but some intelligent Republicans read the bill and raised a stink for it to be removed......so it was only in the original drafts that Obama wrote. Sure, Obama wrote that whole bill, all by himself, when he took a break from other presidential duties.

(10,000 posts)Like most anti-Obama e-mails, it's pure garbage. It's not unique to Barack, however. I remember most of this same kind of crap when Bill Clinton was President.
