National employee unions might have endorsed Hillary Clinton, but it's Bernie Sanders who has convinced grassroots labor movements to back him.
As Democrats go to select their president candidate, the U.S. labor movement is divided. Two camps have appeared: those for Hillary Clinton, the candidate who represents the status quo; and those who support Bernie Sanders, who claims he will bring about political revolution.
Clinton can count on the support of the big, national unions, with endorsements from at least 18 of them including the government employees union, teachers union, and the service workers union.

Sanders, on the other hand, has the support of just three national unions postal workers, communications workers, and the national nurses union but also many of the the grassroots labor groups, including local chapters who have disobeyed the decisions of national organizations.
According to Rand Wilson, a union official who co-founded the Labor Campaign for Bernie Sanders, grassroots movements want transformational change.
