Alan Grayson later today will snag the backing of the Central Florida Building and Construction Trades Council, a union-backed group.

“Working people in Florida need a bold leader like Alan Grayson who will stand with Elizabeth Warren in the Senate and take on Wall Street,” council President Wes Kendrick said in a release. "Alan is a fearless leader and fighter for all working people who has a proven track record of getting things done even when it was not easy.”

The release touted Grayson as a "staunch labor ally, both in Washington and inside his Central Florida district, co-sponsoring countless pieces of pro-worker legislation during his three terms in Congress. Those measures have included legislation seeking pay equity for women, mandatory paid vacation for all workers, and the extensioeking pay equity for women, mandatory paid vacation for all workers, and the extension of vital unemployment insurance for those struggling to find work."

A new poll shows a slim majority of Florida Democrats are undecided on who they want to run for the U.S. Senate in 2016.

With U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., running for the Republican presidential nomination and not aiming for a second term in the U.S. Senate, Democrats are hoping to flip the Senate seat. But a poll St. Pete Polls released on Wednesday on behalf of Saint Petersblog shows a little more than half of voters are still on the fence.

The poll shows 53 percent of Florida Democrats remain undecided on who they want to be their Senate candidate. U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Fla., takes 20 percent while U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy, D-Fla., is right on his heels with 19 percent. Attorney Pam Keith pulls 7 percent.

Both of the male candidates have nailed down their geographic bases. Grayson takes 41 percent of voters in the Orlando TV market while Murphy pulls 65 percent in his West Palm Beach home turf. In Miami, Murphy is up 25 percent to 14 percent.

I will not vote for Patrick Murphy, who only switch from GOP to Dem in 2011 so he could run against another GOPer.
He may be DINO Wasserman's buddy, but no votes for me for anyone in that New Democrat Coalition (motto - we don't need any stinking ideology, we LIKE working with the GOP because our aims are alike!), that is set in stone.
This is why the constant admonition to vote locally if we want more liberals is ridiculous - Debbie will not support them, and she is the head of the DNC.
