Good grief what some folks spend lots of money to own. I never would have dreamed of saving those. Guess that's why I'm not rich. lol

You can't give a bona fide antique away, but find yourself a "Magic the Gathering" black lotus card and you're in the money. I honestly don't know what to buy for resale anymore.

Here is one source

http://www.watchcount.com/bids.php

I find items that start to go are sometimes related to articles to Repurposing old items. I always ask other dealers what is selling for them.

Back in the 90s I had a shop and one day a lady came in and bought 4 old door knobs. I hadn't sold one in years. The next couple of days I sold out of them. I asked one customer what was going on and she said Martha Steward had an article about making coat hooks out of old door knobs. The same thing has happened in the last few years with items used for garden art and used to make center pieces for wedding shower along with other ideas for weddings. Trends like this go fast. Once they start selling, everyone starts coming up with the items.

are real hot now. I've been doing real well with metal, industrial type stools and small wood drawers too. I put in a real nice set of swirl door knobs 2 days ago and they were gone in one day for $85. Wish I had some more.
