I am getting reunited with part of our collections which was wrapped and stored for over 5 years. I am so glad we are finally moving things a little forward.
My daughter brought a load of boxes from her storage unit to mine yesterday evening. She and her husband are going to get their basement updated. She needs room in her storage for stuff from her basement, so she is takng some time to bring my stuff to me She brought a load last night at almost dark. I was looking at items I could see and saying delighted things. I belatedly realized that maybe timing for looking wasn't great. lol
I'm very pleased that my grand kids are developing a good eye. My grandson pulled a goblet from a box and told his Mom is was radon glass. He meant uranium glass, but he told her it would glow and it sure does. My granddaughter has a talent for spotting the best thing in a box. She said we should have a yard sale. She said she'd have fresh lemonade for free, but the cup would be $30. lol
I brought some of the boxes back to the house with me and left them in the car overnight. Today, my granddaughter and I unwrapped that stuff and will rewrap it shortly. My favorites today are an RS Prussia iris bread plate, and an arts and craft style bookcase, probably a shop project, but well done. She brought some of my husband's tobacco collection, and the 150+ s&p's I bought from my neighbor. Those are at the building, soon to be here
I'm sending much of it to auction or contacting a few local dealers I've sold to, but it is fun to unpack Memory Lane.
