Oops, I did it again....
That same auction house had a clearance auction of some of the lots that didn't sell in the first one because they started at a too high price for the buyers: meaning a lot of 210 brand new Godzilla BluRay DVDs were priced at .25 cents each but X210 with bids going up a quarter each time.
When they list them like that a lot of the buyers pass on them.
So on Friday they did a last minute clearance auction of the unsold lots.
There was no notice and few buyers online late on a Friday.
I won two lots right away, one of 66 high end gift boxed designer photo albums that had been a corporate gift one year I guess.
Really nice, two designs, they retail for $30. each.
I got that lot for $1.00
Then there was a lot of 50 GOING IN STYLE double sided theatrical movie posters with Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Alan Arkin.
Got that for a $1. too.
It was gonna be like that.
So then I was "since I'm driving an hour to pick up these two lots I might as bid on more..."
and I went a little crazy and won 14 more lots for 1-4 bucks each.
Spent $61 total, including buyers premium and sales tax.
Got 1200+ DVD's and BluRays and the other two lots above.
Came out to 4.5 cents each all said and done.
Got the Godzilla blurays, Hangover 3, Wrath of the Titans, a couple of Matthew McConaughey movies, Fred Claus, a Halloween horror film and more.
14 different titles.
Brand new in the cases
I now have the lowest prices for these titles on eBay and bulk discounts offered.
Several sales already have paid for half of it all after shipping and fees so this is going to work out nicely
And I put a bunch of DVDs for $2 each in my antique mall booth for stocking stuffer holiday deals.
The photo albums are there too for $5.95 each.
Yeah, the storage unit is filling up but if you ever need 50 copies of The Incredible Burt Wonderstone starring Jim Carrey and Steve Carell, I'm your guy.
the even better news is they said Warner Brothers is going to send over more stuff later this month.

(19,312 posts)share the name of this auction house, would you? I love online auctions. I buy from all over the world. I mostly collect Rock and Roll memorabilia, but am open to just about anything. I love Jim Henson Inc. stage props, movie used props etc. Anything with a Henson tag on it is quite collectible.
Thanks, if you could do that for me.

(19,312 posts)Most big auction houses love to ship, because they make big 💰 on that too.
Good luck at the auctions!

(25,301 posts)After that it's the Godzillas and the Matthew McConaughey movies that are the best sellers.
Then Rock of Ages and Wrath of the Titans.
Have not sold a single Entourage Season 3 Part 2 DVD yet. Good thing there's only 20 of those.
PS: And I sold 40 of those photo albums at my antique mall booth for $6 each so far.
