hey experienced ebayers:

is it possible to do a “pick and choose” sale on ebay?

what i have is a bunch of dvd’s…nothing of real value. they seem to sell for about what shipping is (what’s the point???)

what i want to do is photo each one, make a listing that says “pick any 5 for $xx”, then delete the picture/description of ones that sell.

can you do that? if so, can you link a tutorial or anything?

quit when they started crapping on sellers. ebay allowed buyers to get away with financial murder

Make a listing with multiple variations, each variation being one of the DVDs. Then use the "Add volume pricing" option when you're writing up the listing.

For example, you could say that 1 DVD is $5.95, 2 DVDs is 10% off, 3 DVDs is 15% off, etc. (For the record, I'm pulling numbers out of the ether; I have no idea how much these should be priced at or discounted.)

Price the 5 DVD option minus the discount at whatever you were going to ask if you'd been selling in only 5 DVD lots. If you sell fewer at a time, you might actually make a little money.

And don't forget to ensure that you don't lose money on shipping!

If you have any questions, just let me know.
