Started an acrylic painting class at local Community College

Here are my first two. My OCD has a grip on me. Stripping and painting a couple of outdoor benches and some outdoor furniture, I found that I had trouble letting go and accepting that it was good enough. With these two first paintings, I've been obsessing about everything wrong and the need to make it perfect.

at some point you just have to decide it's finished and let it go - otherwise you'll keep fiddling with it until you go crazy or mess it all up. That's been my experience, anyhow. You're off to a good start. Just keep painting and don't worry about making them perfect. Let your instructor help you decide whether it's finished.

Keep posting your paintings. Maybe it wil help in considering them finished.

Plus I enjoy viewing. This was a good way to end my day. Peaceful anticipation. Thank you.

Your work is lovely enough to make me want to contemplate; I would stand in front of it for a while...
